A group of students from Bromley College’s Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College were able to see a five star hotel in operation for themselves last week, when they paid a visit to the luxury, country house hotel Pennyhill Park, located in the rolling Surrey parklands.
The visit was part of an ongoing programme of employer-led activities, enabling the 14-16 year old students to get a real insight into the hospitality industry and the world of work.
Led by General Manager Julian Tomlin, the group were treated to a guided tour of the impressive property. This was followed by a visit to both the pastry and bakery section of the hotel kitchens and to the kitchens of Michelin-starred Latymer restaurant, under the guidance of Executive Chef David Atkinson.
The acclaimed pastry chef gave the students an overview of preparing afternoon tea whilst they tucked in to a lavish spread, laid on by the hotel. The staff then joined the students for a Q & A session.
Additionally, a special visit was made to the hotel’s rugby pitch. This has been funded by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) for the England rugby team, who used the hotel as a base during the Rugby World Cup last month.
The Career College students will now be taking their knowledge back to the classroom as they embark on GCSE projects later this year – one of which will focus on the concept of afternoon tea.

I think this is the great experience for those students in their carrier in Hotel. Coz The visit was part of an ongoing programme of employer-led activities.
I’ve been looking online quite a few hrs nowadays, but by no means noticed any specific attention-grabbing write-up just like your own. It truly is fantastic worth enough to me. In my personal opinion, if many internet marketers and bloggers built great written content resources you did, the online market place is going to be considerably more beneficial than everbefore.I will book mark this post !! Will certainly read once again !! Thanks for those valuable info.
