The course will introduce pedagogical approaches that utilise video with examples in practice across a range of curriculum areas including maths and English.
The course consists of four modules, each showcasing a different way in which video can be used effectively:

  • Learning — This module explores different types of video and the ways in which video can be used in learning. There is advice on making videos and the equipment you can use
  • Support — This module explores how video can be used to enable learners to independently access support. It looks at the use of QR codes and augmented reality Apps
  • Assessment — This module explores how to create video assessment resources. Interactive video of this kind is useful when introducing pedagogical approaches such as flipped learning, blended learning and online learning. Some video quiz tools will feature gamification technology
  • Feedback — This module explores how video can be used to provide enhanced feedback on assignments through the use of screencast videos
